We invite proposals for half-day and full-day workshops and tutorials to be held on August 1, 2026.

Workshop Objectives

Workshops should provide dynamic forums for discussing emerging research areas and facilitate meaningful interaction among participants. We particularly encourage proposals that:

  • Address cutting-edge topics not typically covered in regular conference sessions
  • Foster comprehensive discussion and debate
  • Promote active audience participation and networking
  • Bridge research, clinical practice, and industry needs

Submission Requirements

Proposal Deadline: January 22, 2026

Each proposal must include:

  1. Basic Information

    • Duration (half-day or full-day)
    • Workshop/tutorial title
    • Organizer details (names, affiliations, contact information)

  2. Content Description

    • Objectives (maximum 500 words): Clear description of goals, relevance, and expected outcomes
    • Topics of interest (up to 5 keywords)
    • Target audience (maximum 300 words): Intended participants and prerequisite knowledge
    • Participation strategy: Plan to reach out to participants (e.g. website, mailing list, direct mailing)

  3. Program Details

    • Speaker lineup: Names, affiliations, and presentation titles
    • Structure: Format overview (presentations, panels, Q&A sessions, hands-on activities)
    • Expected attendance: Realistic estimate based on topic appeal and target audience
    • Tentative agenda: General overview of the talks and presentations

  4. Logistical Requirements

    • Special equipment needs (whiteboards, poster stands, demonstration space, etc.)

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Scientific merit and innovation
  • Relevance to the biomedical robotics community
  • Quality of proposed speakers and content
  • Past experiences in organizing workshops
  • Potential for audience engagement and interaction
  • Clarity and feasibility of the proposed format and potential for clinical translation

Key Dates

  • Proposal submission deadline: January 22, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: March 30, 2026
  • Workshop/tutorial day: August 1, 2026
